Katherine is an accomplished actress and filmmaker, with a BFA in Drama from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts (Experimental Theatre Wing, Stonestreet School of Film and Television). Her training at NYU was Meisner-based, studying under Terry Knickerbocker. She is a graduate of the Improv program at Upright Citizens Brigade, performing for a time with her Indie Improv team, Estrogen Festival.
In 2015, together with Keith Schneider, Myko Olivier, and Vince Tanzilli, she founded Full Boat Films, a production company with a mission to "Collaborate. Create. Repeat." They have done that time and again, producing sketches, short films, music videos and web series. Her writing debut, Stellar Hosts, premiered at Dances with Films 2018, where it won the coveted Audience Award. She won Best Comedy Actress in 2018 at the BNM Web Fest for her lead role in the series, which traveled to film festivals across the country, and was nominated against Don Rickles' series and his star-studded cast for Best Comedy Series and Best Comedy Ensemble at the IAWTV Awards.
Her next endeavor, Know-It-All, which continues down the path of her happy place as a writer and actress: a sci-fi/fantasy romcom about finding love in a telepathic world. At Other Worlds it earned her a nomination for the Mary Shelley Award, which is given to the female-identifying filmmaker whose film best furthers the involvement and representation of women in the SciFi genre. At FilmQuest it was nominated for both Best Fantasy Short and Best Short Screenplay.
Katherine aspires to be one of the Great (K/C)ath(a/e)rines. The recipe for her ideal role is, in fact, a melange of the other Greats: one part Captain Janeway (Kate Mulgrew, Star Trek Voyager), one part Delia Deetz (Catherine O'Hara, Beetlejuice), one part Tracy Lord (Katharine Hepburn, The Philadelphia Story).
